English: PITCH BLACK 2024 - PAF FA-50PH COMPLETES THE LARGE FORCE EMPLOYMENT SIMULATION PHASE OF PITCH BLACK EXERCISE 2024

Darwin, Australia – The Philippine Air Force's (PAF) FA-50PH Fighting Eagle Aircraft successfully completed the Large Force Employment (LFE) Simulation Phase of Pitch Black Exercise 2024 alongside other International Air Forces. This two-Weeks long LFE Simulation Phase is a crucial Aspect of the Exercise, emphasizing Complex, large-scale Missions that require seamless coordination and integration among the diverse capabilities and Assets of participating Air Forces.

The LFE Missions are designed to provide Realistic and Challenging Scenarios, enhancing the interoperability and tactical Skills of the participating Nations. The PAF Pilots were able to participate in different Missions such as Air Interdiction, Suppression of Enemy Air Defence, Defensive Counter-Air and Offensive Counter-Air in a Blue or Red Force Role. The involvement in these Missions not only demonstrates our operational capabilities but also strengthens our commitment to international defense cooperation and Regional Security.

Col Randy M Pascua PAF, the Contingent Commander of the Philippine Air Force Delegation, expressed pride in the PAF's performance and highlighted the importance of such Exercises in building stronger ties with Allied Nations. "Participating in Pitch Black 2024 allows us to enhance our operational readiness and fosters Camaraderie with our international Counterparts. The experience and knowledge gained here are invaluable to our Mission of maintaining peace and security in the Region," he stated.

This Exercise, held in Darwin, Australia, scheduled to conclude tomorrow, August 2, 2024, serves as a Cornerstone for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), fostering multinational collaboration and training. Exercise Pitch Black 2024 brought together 20 participating Nations, over 140 Aircraft, and approximately 4,435 Personnel from around the Globe. Among these are the 162 dedicated Participants from the Philippine Air Force, who operate, maintain, and manage the four FA-50PH Fighting Eagle Jets deployed for this Exercise.

The Philippine Air Force's participation in Exercise Pitch Black 2024 underscores our dedication to excellence and our role as a vital contributor to Global Defense Initiatives. The collaborative training and shared Experiences from this Exercise are expected to yield long-lasting Benefits, promoting stability and security in the Asia-Pacific Region.
